DeBottleneck

The Bottleneck Diagnostic

A 90-minute structured call. A written diagnostic within 48 hours. $497.

You leave with a clear picture of where your operation is losing the most — and an honest answer to whether agentic systems can fix it.

What you actually receive

The call — 90 minutes, video, scheduled.

Not a sales call. Not a discovery call where someone is qualifying you to upsell. The 90 minutes is the work — a structured conversation that walks through your operation, surfaces the bottleneck, and tests it against the methodology. You'll know during the call what the diagnostic is going to say.

The written deliverable — 4 to 8 pages, within 48 hours.

The bottleneck named precisely, in your language. A breakdown of why it's the bottleneck and what makes it costly. An honest assessment of whether agentic systems are the right fit. If they are: an outline of what a Build would look like for your operation. If they're not: a recommendation for what is.

The diagnostic is yours. You can take it to another firm, hire internally against it, or sit on it for six months and act later. Nothing about the document obligates you to a Build.

What the Diagnostic works on

The Diagnostic works best on operations that have been running long enough to have a real bottleneck — typically three years or more. The bottleneck is almost always the same shape: work that requires judgment, that currently sits on one or two people, that the business can't grow past without solving.

It works particularly well when:

  • You've already tried tools and they didn't move the bottleneck.
  • The work that's bottlenecking you is cognitive, not physical — research, writing, review, decision-making, communication, coordination.
  • You have at least a rough sense of which workflow is the problem, even if you haven't named it precisely.

What it isn't for

The Diagnostic isn't for businesses looking to "explore AI." It isn't for buying a tool.

If your bottleneck is capital, headcount, distribution, or product-market fit — those are real problems, but they're not problems agentic systems solve. The Diagnostic will tell you that honestly, but you'll have spent $497 to hear it. There are cheaper ways to get to that answer.

The mechanics

  1. You book the call. Stripe handles the payment. You'll see a confirmation immediately and a scheduling link to pick the 90-minute slot.
  2. Before the call, one question. You'll get a single intake question by email — what part of the operation has been on your mind most lately. One question, one short answer. No 47-field form.
  3. The call happens. 90 minutes, video, structured. You do most of the talking; the operator does the listening and the steering.
  4. Within 48 hours, the written diagnostic arrives. Delivered as a PDF, emailed directly.
  5. One follow-up conversation if you want it. 30 minutes by phone or video to talk through the deliverable. No additional charge. Use it if you want it — some operators want a second conversation after sitting with the document; others don't.

If the Diagnostic recommends a Build

You'll receive a scoped Phase 2 proposal within 24 hours of the diagnostic — pricing, timeline, deliverables, and what a working Build looks like for your specific operation. Phase 2 pricing starts at $4,500.

You're under no obligation to accept it. You can sit with it, negotiate scope, walk away, or book it. The diagnostic doesn't expire.

If the Diagnostic recommends against a Build

You'll receive an honest assessment of what would actually help. Sometimes that's a different kind of consulting. Sometimes it's a tool. Sometimes it's a hiring decision. Whatever it is, you'll have it in writing — from an operator who already got paid before the answer was written.

That outcome is rarer than it sounds. Most operations that book a Diagnostic have a bottleneck the methodology can address — that's why they booked. But the page would be dishonest if it didn't name the other possibility.
